I have been working at Gilead Sciences full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great drugs. Have a gym. Free bagels on Wednesdays. Employees have opportunity to contribute to business growth.

    Cons

    Ineffective upper management.
    Outdated attitudes regarding GMP compliance.
Ineffective systems for business operations and compliance.
Not enough staff to get day-to-day work completed in a timely manner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Foster City site is no longer an R&D company that can do things in an ad-hoc manner. The outdated culture no longer supports the employees needs.
Hold your managers and directors accountable.
Bring in senior, experienced staff from other biotech/pharma companies to fix the problems that have resulted from outdated business and compliance attitudes and business processes.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
