Gilead Sciences Anonymous in Foster City, CA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Fast paced and the opportunity to work with some talented individuals. Salary is generally consistent with industry. High degree of accountability. The potential and desire for a positive culture is there from the ground-up.

Cons

Limited training, practically no professional development. Often values style over substance. Not sure why the potential and desire for positive culture is not cultivated by senior management. Zero tolerance policy for mistakes. No work at home or other alternate work options.

Advice to Senior Management

Value your employees. They are brilliant and driven. Lose the hierarchy and allow some flexibility. People have to feel valued, not replacable. Invest in professional development opportunities.
