Gilead Sciences Manager:   (Past Employee - 2008)

Pros

Good benefits, salary and compensation package, gourmet cafeteria, on-site gym and work-out culture, location near waterfront with good running trails,

Cons

Highly political and territorial environment based on perception, nitpicky comments on non-performance related issues such as apparel, hair, etc dubbing it as constructive criticism; people take credit for your work giving you little recognition for a great job but emphasizing all your mistakes

Advice to Senior Management

Employees do not seem as happy with the leadership in their respective groups. Start valuing your employees more and remove some inadequate and unnecessary director-level positions
