I have been working at Girl Scouts USA full-time

    Pros

Great opportunity to be creative, work with fun people and a comfortable office environment. Casual dress code. The volunteers and girls are wonderful, they make each day worth the work. Work place is bright and colorful; compensation is good for non-profit. A 4/10's work week which is great.
    Flex time. Affordable health insurance.
Upper management was changed; my experience has been positive. Positive, can-do attitude.

    Cons

Some disorganization from certain departments and people. Good people, just need a little more practice getting things done ahead of time.
    No 401K employer matching.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A bit more organization when it comes to deadlines.

Very political, lacking strong leadership, non-trusting environment. In one word "Toxic".

I worked at Girl Scouts USA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Most non-management staff members are great. The girls that are served. Depending on the manager there may be some freedom for decisions and actions.

    Cons

Very political and buddy-buddy. Male staff members are not made to feel very welcome. Lot's of water cooler gossip.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put the right people in the right jobs and trust them to do the job.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
