I worked at Glass Lewis & Co

Pros

Management made an effort to seem like they wanted to build a community by encouraging going out for drinks after work and even handing out beers on Fridays. It was typically low pressure, with management being fairly nice to everyone.

Cons

Big company had a lot of bureaucracy. It was very much get people in, trained, through the period and out. Other temporary employees viewed the email letting us go as a very passive-passive aggressive, big company style that had been in contrast with our previous treatment. Management tried to save the situation, but the damage had been done.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

More communication, encourage feedback among co-workers and reminders that everyone makes mistakes. Otherwise, as a first job or stop-gap job it wasn't a bad experience.

I have been working at Glass Lewis & Co

    Pros

Great start-up environment with bright individuals with strong work ethic and dedication to their work. Casual atmosphere yet very collaborative.

    Cons

Occasional long hours. Guidance and leadership from senior management is fragmented, confusing or non-existent. Organization has a very reactive culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on communication and leadership skills. Micro-management is not always the answer. Decisions should not be made in a vacuum.

  2.

Good work environment in the Limerick office. Mostly contracts though, not many permanent positions offered
