Not bad for first job for college graduates

ProsManagement made an effort to seem like they wanted to build a community by encouraging going out for drinks after work and even handing out beers on Fridays. It was typically low pressure, with management being fairly nice to everyone.

ConsBig company had a lot of bureaucracy. It was very much get people in, trained, through the period and out. Other temporary employees viewed the email letting us go as a very passive-passive aggressive, big company style that had been in contrast with our previous treatment. Management tried to save the situation, but the damage had been done.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore communication, encourage feedback among co-workers and reminders that everyone makes mistakes. Otherwise, as a first job or stop-gap job it wasn't a bad experience.
