I have been working at GlaxoSmithKline full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Very talented colleagues who are engaged and sincere about their work.

    Cons

Prosperity seems to always be just a year ahead whilst resources dwindle and it gets harder to do the job. Lots of politics to deal with the further up the "food chain" you go.

I have been working at GlaxoSmithKline full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people are great to work with. The pay and benefits are very good, with medical and prescription drug insurance being excellent. Work schedules are flexible, allowing for very good work-life balance.

    Cons

There have been a lot of layoffs since I have been with the company, and the stress that comes with that is overwhelming at times. The work load is sometimes bordering on too much for the amount of people that are left, and management seems very reluctant to replace people who retire or otherwise leave voluntarily.
