Former Intern - Scientist Student Intern in Parsippany, NJ

I worked at GlaxoSmithKline as an intern (less than a year)

Pros

It really was a great place to work, people were always friendly and ready to help, the office is so vibrant and colorful that you love coming to work every day :)

Cons

I don't think there were any except for the place and the absence of public transport there , since I didn't have a car it really was a hassle to reach work.

GlaxoSmithKline not for hungry junior professionals

    I worked at GlaxoSmithKline

    Pros

If you want to have work / life balance, you can do it here. There are some nice people there that promote a team environment.

    Cons

Place is for marketers that want to take a "break". Does not encourage an environment for hungry junior professionals. If you coast by, its good enough which is not for aspiring "game changers" in the industry. Hard working is considered being competitive vs. the norm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do a better job at training managers to be managers instead of just having a title. Senior managers are knowb to not have people development skills.
