Positive Outlook

I worked at Global Arena Capital as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

-Staff is highly skilled and enthusiastic -Worked with very competative people -They value customer service highly, and follow through every step of the way

Cons

There really isn't anything negative to say about them. Some of the brokers (not saying names) can be a little immature, but this company is overall high quality.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

The headquarters office is very professional with great management

    Cons

Non-stop cold-calling for trainees in the retail brokerage department. Depending what team you are working with, the experience can be very mixed, from extremely positive to very negative.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay-outs for the trainees and interns

  2. It's a Trap

    Pros

In every branch there are several big guys making a lot of money. They might even show you how much they're making to reel you in. What they won't tell you is that they will probably use you to bring in new accounts for them, then fire you, take all your accounts, and leave you with nothing. Furthermore they won't tell you that in 2015, hardly any people are dumb enough to buy stock over the phone from a stranger and when the market starts going down, all their accounts bail and they are left on the unemployment line.

    Cons

Telemarketers posing as "financial advisors" in fancy suits. You know when you see a job ad and it says 6 figure potential in your first year and you think it's too good to be true? Well, it is. They use newly graduated frat boys to cold call for them and prey on older financially illiterate customers seeking a return. If only these customers knew who they were giving their money to.

    Advice to Management

You better have a giant parachute ready when the market starts going down. You wouldn't want to end up like you did in 2008.
