Pros

Clear Goals, follow-up is thorough. Generally satisfied workers with clear ideas of where the company should go. Flexible hours. Good company culture

Cons

Not enough new business coming in. Sometimes people are concerned about their jobs due to business continuity. Clients are loyal, but attrition will lead to negative cash flow.

    Pros

    - My mama knows what my company does
    - Brand recognition
    - Free camera and accessories for every new full time hire
    - On the 280/92 side of San Mateo (no dealing with nasty 101 traffic)
    - Big discount on cameras and accessories to purchase for friends/family. Discounts on various brands/vendors that the company works with as well (Patagonia, Mountain Hardware, Toms, etc)
    - GoPro Live It aka GoPro Recess - 2 hours on Thursdays when the company "shuts down" and encourages employees to go do something they love and capture it with our products.

    - Not a giant process oriented company [yet]. I've worked at all sorts of companies in this valley and this is a good size for me, as it's not disruptive like some start ups (-100 employees) and not super bureaucratic and slow like other large (10,000+ employees) companies. It's still a mid-sized company. While there are definitely growing pains here and a lot of processes that are still amuck what company in Silicon Valley actually does have everything perfected? No one does and that's the beauty of the valley and the challenges that keep me here at GoPro.

    Cons

    - Management training for new managers
    - More transparency within teams
    - For such a successful company, one would think that the snacks/drinks would be on par with the likes of Airbnb/Facebook/etc.

    Advice to Management

    Make recruiting your top priority.
