This company does little to support the personal training department to make an equitable living.

I worked at Gold's Gym part-time for more than a year

ProsIt allowed me to do something I love while working with a great staff. The free-employee membership was an added perk.

ConsThe company doesn't pay it's training staff well. Customers were paying anywhere between $55-$65 a session and training staff was getting paid $10-12 an hour. I was required to be there for a certain amount of time when not training and that pay was minimum wage.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider a fair percentage to pay the staff. I'm not naive enough to say pay 50/50, but enough for employees to make a living. We're doing all that work out there training these people, coming up with diet and supplement plans and are

Pros: relaxed, easy-going, fun, friendly, soft sales, free gym membership as an employee, great… Cons: not the best pay, at least to start; sometimes customers can be snippy… Advice to Senior Management: Get things fixed timely and "for good"; reconsider the facility… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
