I have been working at Golden Living full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly, resident are amazing, and are the ones who keep me coming to work. Love the residents and the stories they share.

    Cons

Small town, bad wages, no staff to work, staff who start and then walk out a day later, leaving DSM to do all the work.

    Advice to Management

Get some help for the Dietary manager and Director of Nursing, they are way over-worked.

I worked at Golden Living full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved the Residents at this Facility. The humility of taking care of someone in need Overshadows sometimes the horrible environment you have to work in.

    Cons

Incompetent Management, Favoritism, Preferential Advancement, Penny Pinching to buy cheap supplies, No Supplies At All, No Raises, No Recognition, Being told "do what you can" with what you have, Residents Going Without Necessities, Poor Resident Care (Wounds).

    Advice to Management

You need to take your jobs seriously. Yes, indeed all the good ol' corporate folks will back you and protect you, but when something really goes wrong and you're exposed for patient neglect the state nor the Law care about having your back.
