Search 'JBWere' for further reviews, they built this environment (before GS takeover) so may be different from global GS.

I worked at Goldman Sachs as an intern

    Pros

I did an internship with them and it has been the best internship experience I've had. You have access to all levels of the organization from analysts to managing directors, and they have a very warming and welcoming culture, where they take teams very seriously.

    Cons

Operations salary is not that high.

A company which demands more from its employee, and expects the employee to take ownership in decisions and tasks

I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Competitive Environment. Encouraging employees to take ownership for innovations, tasks and decisions. Believes in industrialization and strives to remove human touch points in processes (which would enable zero-error making).

    Cons

Its culture is confusing and it takes time to adapt to it. At times GS claims to have a flat hierarchy, and at times the management expects that the tasks of Managing directors and Vice Presidents be expedited.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow a uniform culture. If you claim the system in GS to be of flat hierarchy, then so it be. the confusion arises when the flat hierarchy is broken.
