I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Endless opportunities. The training is intense but is well sought in the industry. GS will promote people who lack an MBA which is good in that they put emphasis on those willing to work hard.

    Cons

Low turnover, positions rarely open up. Cronyism is well and alive but this is the law of the land.

Intense, very procedural, and many opportunities for learning

I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

company promotes and encourages community involvement through its Community TeamWorks program. Salaries are high. Internal and external learning opportunities exist.

    Cons

Very procedural, which often overcomplicates typically simple tasks, but such is life in the risk averse financial services industry - everything is about risk, documentation, rather than action. People are often looking to climb the ladder over whomever necessary since there are not so many spaces for advancement. People seem to be looking to protect themselves and their jobs rather than add value to their internal / external clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on adding value to customers, eliminate conflicts of interest with GS money in the game.
