I worked at Goldman Sachs

Pros

long, demanding hours but the quality of the work, the people i've worked with and the pay makes it worthwile. GS is certainly not for everyone but offers superb training and is a good launching pad for future career opportunities

Cons

the hours... the hours... the hours... late nights and week ends included. forget lunch unless out with clients and little vacation time if in a position of real responsibility

Advice to ManagementAdvice

management could better interact with the more junior people within the company ... offer more training and mentoring and fill the lower ranks on the decision making process that happens at the top.

    Pros

Great people surround you. It is never a boring day. Great compensation.
They are an excellent company and very well led.

The hours are long. There is too much politics and the other guys try to take credit for your work.

    I worked at Goldman Sachs

    Pros

    1. Good benefits. Nice facilities. 2. Network (Global). 3. Working with efficient people.

    Cons

Getting too big brings certain degree of bureaucracy (but it's everywhere). Corporate ladder structure is fixed and standard (junior staff gets paid the average).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Bravo.
