Pros

Very intelligent people.
If you want to learn the world of finance, there is no better place.
Awesome resume builder for anyone wanting to make a career out of finance.

Cons

Work-life is very skewed towards work. Even in supporting offices, leaving before 6 pm is an unwritten taboo.
A lot of unnecessary stress over unimportant details.
Intimidating to ask questions of front line managers. They are so busy they don't take the time to train new employees and expect people to just "get it" with little direction.
Pay is good, but cost of living (for NY office anyway) is ridiculous.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to workload management. One week I have nothing to do and the next I'm juggling urgent tasks from multiple project managers.

    Pros

    Great health care
    Smart coworkers
    Positive training programs

    Cons

I worked in tech and it was surprising how buggy their software was

Poor work life balance, more of a life style/sweatshop
    Highly political

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Add some toilets. Nothing like a pile of work to do and having to wait 30 minutes in line because there are only 3 toilets for the 200+ people on the floor.
