    Advice to ManagementAdvice

employ people on the basis of how much knowledge of the company and current affairs they convey in the interview. Good grades does not necessarily constitute a good employee whereas the ability to use information in the interview environment does.

Current Intern - Operations Analyst in Salt Lake City, UT

I have been working at Goldman Sachs as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

There are a million things to do, a hundred ways to do those things, and there's always a chance to learn something new. The people are super friendly and they're always open to teaching you about their team/division. If you work hard, your managers will notice and you WILL be rewarded. You can talk to anyone you'd like so long as you let them know in advance -- analysts to managing directors.

    Cons

Too many programs to learn immediately. Tasks can seem daunting at first but once you begin putting the bigger picture together most activities begin to make sense. Getting access to programs may take forever but once you have it you will understand why.
