I have been working at Good Samaritan Hospital (San Jose) full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The stroke team is awesome! The MD's, stroke coordinators, ED staff, MSICU staff, Cath Lab all work together to make great outcomes happen.

    Cons

Administration unwilling to look past the bottom dollar.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees as you would like to be treated. I dislike phony acts of listening to employee grievences only to do nothing about it and then to deny that anything was said.

I have been working at Good Samaritan Hospital (San Jose) full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Nice people to work with - overall.

    Cons

Change is hard. Low turnover and the old timers just aren't flexing up to new times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do what you say you do and follow through. Ask yourself, is what we are doing today going to get us to where we want to be tomorrow? I've seen a lot of time wasted, money wasted on fads and politics.
