I worked at Google as a contractor (more than an year)

Pros

Talented coworkers, results driven management decisions, challenging and high paced work environment. It's fun to be a part of a company that gives so much to the world.

Cons

Chaotic and full of bureaucracy. Highly competitive. Top heavy management. There is a major class system when it comes to contract workers versus full time employees.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase staff in finance and HR departments. Give contractors more privileges. Stop dragging your feet on conversions/headcount for successful teams, or teams that are critical to the success of the company.

I have been working at Google

    Pros

Free Food, Young People, Laid back atmosphere, Don't feel like you are being micromanaged.

    Cons

My job had a lot of turnover. They just hire 1 year contractors and never re-up them. Would have loved to stay.
