Pros

One of the best experiences in my life, nothing can or probably will come to these few years of my life at Google.

Cons

Lack of proper work life balance, deadlines! deadlines! deadlines! Conference calls can be weird times of the day, but overall satisfying.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Schedule conference call at more decent hours of the days
Feedback could be better received
Pay be made more competitive

    Pros

    The free food is good.

    Cons

The working hours are long. The pay is not worth all the time spent at work. Management is not great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Less micromanagement and a better review process would be great. Also, consider hiring more people. There's enough money to go around...

I have been working at Google

    Pros

-- one of a handful of companies with big ambitions on changing the world, and does not restrict itself to core competencies.
-- startup environment in many teams like Android, Chrome, etc.
-- surrounded by very smart people who also care about doing things "right" and genuinely want to make the world a better place

    Cons

    -- work/life balance non existent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-- focus and invest heavily in fewer products
-- make a bigger effort to get things right the first time

    Recommends
