I worked at Gordmans part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Employee discounts, Was close to my house, and fun and clean enivorment.

Cons

Semi late hours, Low pay rate, and if not full time don't work many hours.

    Pros

    Able to move up in positions, Good raise opportunities

    Cons

    Some managers seem to create very confusing schedules, hours are cut dramatically after the holidays. I went from 35+ to 5 hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Try to care about employees more, to give more than a 2 or 3 hour shift. If someone is obviously doing an outstanding job and going above & beyond, they should receive some sort of praise for that.

    I have been working at Gordmans part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    The managers are nice and the schedule can be flexible you will have lots of opportunities to make extra money (extra hours, credit card sign ups) and if you do your job well then you have the chance to move up in this company

    Cons

    There are always issues with scheduling, registers, customers. The worst part is that gordmans is always trying new things and they roll them out before testing everything and the employees have to suffer when things don't work and the customers are mad.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Talk to your lower lower level employees more instead of talking to just the managers because they will tell you everything is perfect when it is not.
