Former Employee – worked at Grant Thornton International

Pros – Management was transparent and up-front. Long hours (like all public accounting) but not as bad as friends at other firms.

Cons – I think the pay was higher at Big 4 firms, but as I said my friends, at Big 4 firms worked more too.

Advice to Senior Management – Be more proactive in forecasting how the market is changing and less reactive. It always felt like were playing catch up to how the market was changing. A lot of people were let go when the recession started, then we didn't have enough people to staff the work that we did have later on. So more people left because they were doing the job of the 3 people.
