I have been working at Grant Thornton full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

High caliber professionals, many opportunities across the firm, greater level of interest in quality of life factors than most other accounting / consulting firms, flexibility to clients and greater interest by higher level people within the firm paying attention to the clients themselves (Big 4 partners rarely know who their clients are or even care)

    Cons

Low end of the pay scale with raises / bonuses, internal politics and communication, compete with Big 4 and smaller regional firms - get sandwiched between the two, bad performance of certain practices affects other practices (even if that practice hits their budget / goals)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Regardless of scorecard metrics and evaluations, salary sends a message of value to employees.
