I have been working at Great-West Financial full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Easy to work for long-term. Stable job with decent benefits. Work/Life balance is good.

Cons

Hard to get promoted. Middle managers are typically not interested in innovation or helping people advance. Not very innovative. Doesn't invest in people. Their idea of an ideal employee is some one who shuts up and does their job or 10+ years.

I have been working at Great-West Financial full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours as long as you get all your work done well and on time

    Cons

Some departments have contract workers and they come and go. So you'd have to teach newbies numerous times

    I worked at Great-West Financial

    Pros

Covered parking, decent benefits and so so pay in comparison to competitors.

    Cons

You have no direct access to data. Your analysis is limited to reports from systems that are black boxes. Highly dependent on excel and MS office products. No place to thrive or grow, you are expected to be a robot running archaic processes or software that gives you no power. Management is very poor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Real analysis is done with real data.
