    Pros

The people and atmosphere are great. The company is private so there don't seem to be as many outside influences as there would be if it were public. The future direction of the company appears to be pretty solid.

    Cons

As with most companies the benefits have declined over the past few years. Salaries tend to be well below industry standard in some departments.

    Pros

If you are in the technical field, it's an interesting company to work at at the start of your career. There are many interesting projects, and the environment is fast paced. Most of the people are wonderful to work with.

    Cons

Inter-branch communication on vital technical issues, is non-existent for the rank and reserved for upper management only. Instead of working together with various locales of the company for solving technical issues quickly and working together towards the common goal of supporting the company, the technical offices are very fragmented, to the point of issues with communications between departments in the same building, which is fatal to work in the technical field. Technological progress is so slow as to be nearly non-existent, which can lead to skill stagnation. After layoffs, Management unwilling to make vital adjustments to the support structure. Extremely unpredictable layoffs, certain departments love the pre-Thanksgiving and pre-Christmas firings. Unexpected layoffs after upper management promises that no such layoffs are coming. Departmental budgets often bloated for manager gain. Promotion is heavily based on personal favors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve interdepartmental communication, and improve communication with employees. Look into allegations of corruption amongst the middle management, and stop promoting people based on favors owed or done.
