“The good ole boy system is alive and well.”
Current Employee – been working at Greenville County Schools
Pros – Benefits. Health care is satisfactory, but not great.
Salary is satisfactory, but other districts surrounding Greenville pay better. You have to decide if the extra travel expense is worth it.
Cons – You deal with difficult people every day.
You work long hours, contrary to what most people think.
You pay for recertification.
You bring work home with you every day.
Advice to Senior Management – Look inside the organization for promotion and stop hiring so many outsiders.
