I worked at Grey Group as a contractor

Pros

Great culture - talented and very friendly people, beautiful office (Grey New York), fun environment with tons of social events and parties for employees, the agency is growing yet you don't feel like just a number, opportunity to work on great accounts and huge campaigns

Cons

The salaries are sometimes slightly lower than you'll find at other companies (but it's worth taking the hit for a few grand).

I have been working at Grey Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Amazing office culture. People really seem to genuinely like each other. Great digs.

    Cons

Aside from cool awards (Heroic Failure, Gravy), actual employee recognition (i.e. bonus, promotions and raises) don't come by unless you ask (and ask, and ask) for it.

Sometimes it kind of feels like a "boys club."

I worked at Grey Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - The NY HQ is downright beautiful with an outdoor courtyard that is simply cool to look at since it's literally right in front of your cubicle which is pretty cool to me compared to other offices

    - Young group of energetic & passionate folks brings about a unique fashion sensed culture to the company.

    - The agency has a longstanding brand as one of the most successful agencies in the world; client list is pretty phenomenal

    - Open office layout which can be annoying that people pass by your cubicle because the large pillars are right next to you but overall is never thought to be stuffy

    - Perks I would say is that we sometimes have celebrities come by like R&B artists, Professional Athletes, Famous News Anchors, & more

    - Conveniently located near the N, R, W train and across the street from the cult favorite Shake Shack burger shop

    - Next to Eately restaurant, not much needed to add there...

    - Standard free coffee, tea, and nice bathrooms goes a long way

    -

    Cons

    - The pay can be slightly shorter than the industry average which is paramount that you negotiate for the best deal you can get

    - Labor hours can be quite long as there are times you work beyond 7:30 but it's typical in the agency world unfortunately.

    - Some employees can be narcissistic or basically full of themselves but this prominent in this industry.

    - Quite a bit of movement across different units that might make it difficult to follow

    - Politics does play into the picture for this company
