Pros

good people ( the one's who actually work hard- the sales and support team) lots of subscribers good technology

Cons

There are too many layers and people just telling others what to do. No respect for the sales team or how hard they work. Compensation is weak Change in senior management and new sales management approx 2 months ago - since then its been horrible work environment. Everyone is miserable and they treat the customers ( merchants) as well as employees with little respect. All they care about is how much money groupon makes. This USED to be about helping others now it is ALL about them. They don't care about their employees and it shows. They are going to LOSE their top sales reps becasue they do not treat them well. They also created a "boiler" room environment and micromange to the 100th degree. They suffocate you and you can barely breath or go to the bathroom with out feeling guilty. - This used to be a work hard play hard fun place but not anymore. Its an awful environment now.

Advice to Management

Andrew- you should see how miserable your sales team is now. Step up and be the CEO you used to be.

    Emerging, cutting edge market Name recognition when you tell people you work there

    Cons

    Terrible pay Disorganized management Unscrupulous business practices Not a technologically advanced company High pressure sales teams lead to bad deals

    Advice to Management

    Take a realistic look at your business model. Be honest with your successes AND your failures. Don't be afraid to admit you actually aren't doing that well in key markets. Do not create an environment where young reps make bad deals because they are so stressed to make their quota. Businesses lose, and Groupon loses because the merchant has a bad experience and creates bad press and bad word of mouth.

    Pros

    New Growing Busy workplace with exciting things going on around the company. I have met a lot of skilled people and there is a lot of smart thinking that goes with sales and marketing.

    Cons

    Sometimes, I feel a bit like my department is shut off from the rest of the company. Information is sometimes hard to get about the company's performance.

    Advice to Management

    I think the management is great. For such a young company and young leadership, they really have a good head on their shoulders.
