I worked at Groupon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Very laid back, casual environment

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations, unobtainable and inconsistent sales goals, inconsistent and unfair commission structure, condescending managers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not everyone is meant to lead a sales team. Do not hire someone to manage because they have an Ivy League degree but that has never worked in sales or managed a team before.

I worked at Groupon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Fast paced
    Quick to implement changes

    Cons

    Poor employee moral
Mid-level management is very difficult to work with
Managment does not seem to respect employees
Management does not work well outside of their own department/team

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more of a focus on employee relations and less of a focus on press. Use this time of low stock prices and negative press to focus on internal initiatves. happy employees = productive employees.
Train the leadership staff, there are to many managers with no management experience and it shows.
