I have been working at Guardian Protection Services

Pros – Small company
recruit good talent from other similiar companies
reputable company
many different departments to "try" out
many years of tenure across the existing staff

Cons – Benefits/ time off are not competitive- No short term disability
Executive staff takes themselves way too seriously (reserved parking spot, water cooler only in executive wing) no cups for water or coffee for the rest of the staff
Penny wise pound foolish
front line employees not recognized

Advice to Senior Management – Attracting good talent is more than "stealing" managers from other companies- look inside to recruit and promote from within- remember your people are your best resource and it is important to find ways to retain talent. Vacation time is a huge stinger
