Pros

In general, every year, there seems to be strides to improve overall work experiences within departments.

Cons

With the industry comes politics and often image gets in the way of true talent able to drive successful businesses.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lead by example. A great leader doesn't need to lead by fear or negativity. It's not not inspirational for growth.

    Lots of growth opportunity through all areas of the brand.
    Great peers to work with and to be managed by.

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations with the amount of payroll given.
    Inconsistent focuses as a brand, most do not even support top line sales.

    I worked at Guess? part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Not much to like about guess...coworkers are nice, we all got along pretty well. Some managers are ok.

    Cons

    discount sucks, managers promote competition between co-workers...this makes for a shady work environment because people end up stealing sales from eachother. Some managers even steal employee sales and force employees to help them generate their own sales. There is no commission...employees are just punished for not making individual goals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stick to a storewide sales rather than individual goals.
