I have been working at Guess? full-time

Pros

Good discount, gym and gym classes , nice office with cafe for breakfast/lunch/snacks, good coworkers.

Cons

Long hours, understaffed, little room for advancement/salary increases, "attendance" taken to make sure you are at your desk at 8:01.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with trust and respect. Create a collaborative environment, not one where each department is working against each other towards their own priorities.

I have been working at Guess? part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Girls are fun to work with & good discounts

    Cons

Some managers are great but others are very rude and don't know how to manage at all. You must be all goody goody to get up anywhere. They will acknowledge your good work but only consider moving you up if you become good friends with them. They have previously hired their friends as managers that had no management experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't promote people just because they are your friends! Or hire someone as a manger because that person is your friend. Look at the workers around you and move them up. After all they are the ones who stuck with the company longer. Look for the qualities that the person has not someone who just simply kids around all the time.
