I worked at Guess?
Pros – Discounts if you actually shop there
Cafeteria is run by wolfgang puck
If you're an attractive woman, you'll move up fast (everyone who works at Corp knows what I'm talking about)
My direct VP was very good
Cons – Everything. So many rules you feel like it's elementary school. If you work in building 1 on campus and you come late, just know there is a 1 way glass mirror with the CEO on the other end. He's actually sent people home for coming late. The security guard writes down your license plate and notes what time you came to work (only in lot 1). Cameras everywhere and you won't believe who's watching. Constant voicemails from the CEO about why we're not eating at his buddy Wolfgang Pucks cafe and that maybe he should close it down since we're so ungrateful. Btw, that cafe was built for millions of dollars after the start of the recession while we laid off 10% of the corporate staff. Threats on voicemail about speed walking between buildings and not small talking otherwise we might get fired. Scheduled break times as well as scheduled lunches. Have a meeting that runs through break? Guess you missed it...not sure if you have the guts to "make up" your break even if justified...good luck explaining that to the CEO.
Many many many more crazy things happened that I can't think of at the moment, but just know that you do NOT want to be here.
Advice to Senior Management – Trust your employees and treat them like professionals. If you don't think they are, why'd you hire them?
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
