I have been working at Guidepoint Global
Pros – As a place to work, Guidepoint Global has a relatively relaxed environment. And in a niche research business that is under regulatory scrutiny, it is nice to have a job.
Cons – As equity research firms go, Guidepoint undervalues and underpays it's employees, in comparison to comparable firms in the industry. Further, firm strategy seems lacking at best. Morale is low across the firm, from top to bottom, and has been for years.
Advice to Senior Management – Leadership is lacking at the highest level. This leaves the future of the company more hazy than it otherwise would be, leaving employees with minimal confidence. Were a clear, coherent and optimistic strategy put in place and clearly and regularly communicated to the firm, morale would sky rocket, employee motivation would increase, and our outlook would be better than it is today.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
