I worked at Guitar Center full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very relaxed, casual work atmosphere. Could decorate my work space any way I wanted. Was neat knowing that I worked for a company that helped musicians make music and rock 'n' roll.

    Cons

They're very tight with the dollar there. Had to stay at lower end hotels and was forced to share hotel rooms when traveling on business. Ridiculous!

I have been working at Guitar Center

    Pros

Good discounts if you're a musician, jeans and tshirts, diverse group, fun people, good work/life balance

    Cons

Low pay, generally no room for career growth, unfair promotions (if any), no good benefits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make an effort to retain and make your hard working employees happy. People are tired of hearing the same old lame excuses for not giving merit increases.
