Gulf Coast Laundry Services – “I don't know whether I would work here or not again”

Pros

There are nice people that work there. The company has a good brand name. The work areas have a friendly atmosphere. They understand when you can't be at work and don't give you too hard a time about missing a day when you have to.

Cons

The compensation was average. The management was okay at best. The morale of the run of the mill employees was pretty low. It might boost productivity if they tried to do something to raise morale. They should give people a longer break around midday, I remember alot of people complained about not having enough time at lunch.

Advice to Senior Management

I would say to voice expectations more. People aren't sure how far they are supposed to take things or not so it leads to a lot of confusion and lost productivity. Also, give people feedback when they have done well or not. They could probably downsize some and not notice the difference, so that would help.
