    I worked at H E B full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Advancement Opportunities
    Semi-Flexible schedule
    Community oriented company
    Privately owned company

    Cons

    Forced overtime
    Many safety violations
    Time standards are very tight
Management often cuts selectors toward the end of the day, slowing progress and forcing remaining employees to stay up to several hours later

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The time standards are too high for many selectors to operate safely. Turnover is seriously affected by the amount of safety violations that occur because of the time standards. Spend a little more on a few extra selectors so that everyone can slow down a little bit and avoid injuries and poor safety practices.
