H&R Block – “Great Part-time job.

H&R Block Tax Associate in Kansas City, MO:   (Current Employee)

Pros

H&R Block is a great place to work if you want to gain experience preparing taxes or need a part-time job. The hours are flexible. Depending on your office, most co-workers are very friendly and willing to help. H&R Block provides a lot of resources online, which allows you to figure the answer to a tax problem very efficiently.

Cons

The pay is compensation based. For new employees, this could be a problem. It does take some years to build your client base. The training for new employees could be more efficient and better. Some offices do not have adequate office supplies and materials, but that really depends on your office. Some clients can be hard to deal with.

Advice to Senior Management

Improve the training process. Receive compensation for selling bank products. That would be fair since it is a criteria we are evaluated on.
