Pros

H&R Block is flexible in hours worked and at least in Billerica appreciated for our skill. The physical plant is reasonably well designed and contains a normal amount of amenities. Layoffs have been so far avoided during the downturn. The employees in general are good both at what they do and as people in general.

Cons

Reorgs occur at a blinding pace and leave everyone disoriented. There seems to be issues with retaining qualified people. There are roadblocks to getting information from the trenches to higher in the organization. Best practices often are not followed.

Advice to Senior Management

Make sure to take in enough data to make an intelligent decision on the future and don' put all eggs in one basket that might be the wrong eggs.
