I have been working at H&R Block

Pros

Seasonal employment with flexible work schedule, which allowed you to handle clients to the best of their needs. Support for co-workers.

Cons

Very corporate, management and policies changes every year. Management is very worried about the numbers and reaching their district goals to obtain their bonus.

I have been working at H&R Block part-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The best reason to work with the company is the talent it attracts-- retired people with years in experience and hard working American needing extra income to supplement their full time jobs

    Cons

The challenges is the low hourly pay and the commission system too hard to understand why most people do not get any.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase the profit sharing system for first year with the company and for people with more years to be at least 25 percent of what they generate in revenue for the company

I worked at H&R Block full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I loved my staff and the clients. I managed for several years as well as wrote returns. Love dealing with people in general and resolving issues.

    Cons

The communications from management and Kansas City were adequate at best. I understand that it is a publicly traded company but the clients should be the main priority

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Compensate for the effort not the title
