I have been working at HCR ManorCare part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

friendly staff, well maintained, no manual labor (at least for CNAs)

    Cons

Turn over rate is pretty high, they will fire you at any reason....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give your staff a reasonable chance to defend their situation with evidence and investigation before firing them

Former Employee - Administrative in Ogden, UT

I worked at HCR ManorCare full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There are many facilities and employees can transfer between facilities

    Cons

One bad apple can spoil the rest and top management is not aware of facility problems...so they go unnoticed and unresolved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you have a survey...reveiw the information...make every employee accountable...not just the line staff/managers. Administrators need to carry more responsibility for the results of the facility because it is often them that create a positive or in other cases, a negative environment.
