Current Employee - Executive Director in Cherry Hill, NJ

I have been working at HCR ManorCare full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Strong support for the employee. Supportive supervisors. They allow the employee to do their job without being micromanaged. Quite generous PTO time and solid benefits.

Cons

Very large company. They have a set manner to do business with little room for variation. There are different divisions in the company and sometimes they forget the other aspects.

I worked at HCR ManorCare part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

My coworkers and boss were great

    Cons

Stereotypical SNF issues - patients not ready on time, nursing not always open to plan of care and productivity requirements

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen more from your therapy depts - they are the bones and muscles of the "body" that make up ManorCare - and remember the 80/20 rule: 80% of your success comes from 20% of your employees....REWARD those employees for meeting productivity or working weekends
