    I have been working at HCR ManorCare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great job if you're looking to gain some clinical experience! Tons of available shifts due to severe staffing shortages!

    Cons

    Burn out time frame is about one month! Average new hire quits within the two week orientation period. The pay rate is the lowest in the region! Staff members are too burned out to help new hires! Constant short staffing has caused tension among the employees and no one has your back here! Hospital acuity Pt's with nurse to pt ratios of 35-1 on a regular basis!

    Advice to Management

    Pay your employees better! Hire some more help! It's just disrespectful to pay such pathetic rates while expecting one employee to do the work of two or three! Take care of your people and they will take care of you! Remember, you get what you pay for!
