I worked at HCR ManorCare full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

At the time had exceptional insurance

    Cons

Raise freeze for the last 6 year's CaseMix Specialist. Who worked very hard to get the maximum reimbursement for their skilled units.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should give raises, at least enough for cost of living increase

I have been working at HCR ManorCare full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Do not work here if you do you will be miserable, forced to lie about med passes. You can't pass 4 rounds of meds for 20 patients or residents in 8 hours without false documentation. HR tells new people they will only have 10, they are shocked when they get report on a team of 20 and it continues. Some try very hard but they are doomed from the start.

    Cons

impossible expectations of the job. 8 hour shifts with multiple meds passes for 20 patients, treatments, charting, the list goes on and on! nurses give all meds at once. it is at least a 12 hour shift in a 8 hour shift. Management is VERY dishonest, some worse than others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop having favorites! I have witnessed horrible abusive behavior by staff nurses to other nurses. If you are a nice person you won't want to work here. Only the bullies and liars survive.
