Pros

The benefits that are offered a very good. HDT makes awesome products for the military. It is a growing company.

Cons

High turnover of executive and key management positions. Co-workers are very clickish and go out of their way to exclude and be rude.

Advice to Management

Give feedback to employees on how well they are or are not performing in their jobs. Don't tolerate the way some employees purposefully ostracize co-workers.

    Pros

    Large diversity of projects. From shelter design to FEA analysis to fabrication. Excellent co-workers and peers. Everyone at the working level tries and puts forth 110%.

    Cons

    Upper level management is lost. Or at least doesn't pay attention to the ones who actually build, design, and produce product. There is a chasm of disconnect between board room and the work room. Benefits are OK. Always looking to save a buck and willing to cut people as justification. Willing to steal from the left hand to feed the right.

    Advice to Management

    1. Find management team and stick with it for more then 3 years.
    2. Communicate with the workers and listen to them. Heed some of their advice. We're not as dumb as you think.
    3. Have more business vision than most congressmen. Stick with that vision for more than 2 years.
    4. Create a better and more stable business plan. Communicate this plan.
