    Pros

-They pay for series 7 and 63 and provide study materials.
-Brand New Office on park avenue with nice meeting room.
-Once you pass training program, you receive $150 or $300 for every account you open up, plus commission and a base salary.
-Fast paced, young and fun work environment.
-If good at it, will make a tonnnnn of money.

    Cons

    -No benefits to start out.
-You do have to get coffee and run errands but it is part of paying your dues.
-Have to open 100 accounts before you start making the real money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would offer a little more money as a base to help out potential talent. It is hard living in NYC on that but the potential is what helps keep motivation going.

Entry-level sales, little guidance, low base pay, very high turnover. High earning potential.

I worked at HFP Capital Markets

    Pros

    -There IS high earning potential
-Competitive atmosphere and some good people
-Pay for Series 7 and provide training materials

    Cons

-99% of job is cold-calling. Could be a plus for some / if you are good at it.
-Generate leads and make money for the senior brokers.
    -Cramped office
-You are expected to live on an extremely low base pay in NYC. Impossible.
-Trainees are treated as disposable coffee runners.
    -No benefits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in new talent. The current business model is to lure new grads in with the promise of big money and hope some quality people stay.
