I have been working at HSBC Canada full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great place to learn latest HR practices, great people to work with. The biggest pro is that HSBC values diversity. It doesn't matter where you come from, you always feel that you are a part of this big team.

Cons

There is not much to say. The only thing that I would comment on is that because of the size of the company, it's hard to have close relations with the people from different departments.

I have been working at HSBC Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Extremely flexible working hours and fellow co-workers are nice

    Cons

More and more jobs are getting outsourced and people are starting to leave by themselves. Slowly but surely the center is shrinking and in few years it could potentially be closed

I worked at HSBC Canada full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Good Benefits and vacation days.

    Cons

Poor management skills., does not give opportunity for existing staff members to promote within. With the last job that I was in, there was no support from the SVP. 2 senior staff members left and was not replace until 5 months later, meanwhile the work that they were doing, I have to look after. Was not even offer acting pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior managment should have more people skills. I was doing 3 people's job for 5 months and 2 of them were Senior managment jobs. I was not even giving the opporunity to get promoted instead 2 positions were hired outside the bank with no previous experience of the job that I was doing. At the same time, I was not offer acting pay.
