    Pros

The name is recognized every where

    Cons

It is still a precolonial culture where only Brits get the good perks, promotion and pay. They will hire anyone British with any sort of non-relevant degree yet ignore the non-British with the relevant degrees. 99% of top management is british despite the big hype about diversity. The recent bonus season?? 80% of the big money went to the band 3 and above who are predominantly British and the rest of us barely gotten peanuts. Passive racism is very apparent.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the of the British club management and hire some real talents despite their nationalities. In fact have your top management do a technical test and sack all those who don't pass it.

    Pros

Liberty to drive individual projects. Work life balance and communication channels used.
Top Management is professional in their approach towards grooming of Analysts.

    Cons

HSBC is a highly Bureaucratic organization. it is very difficult to drive change in HSBC as it is resistant to change.

    Advice to Management

Management should discourage biased behavior. They can look into external trainings as a tool to enhance skills of employees. Retention policies and increased Short Term assignments may help retain talent.
