I have been working at HSBC Holdings

Pros

HSBC offers a diverse, international working experience with a community of co-workers from around the world, and a supportive atmosphere

Cons

The difficulty of moving from one division to another and the salary is very uncompetitive, even within the internal bank divisions

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Use the global footprint to complement an excellent employee offering not for it to be the sole reason why people would want to work at HSBC

I have been working at HSBC Holdings

    Pros

HSBC has a great brand in most countries. The company provides opportunities to get positions in other countries, enabling you exposure that is very unique. The company has a strong focus on emerging markets, providing opportunities to get exposure into these economies.

    Cons

Very slow organization, lots of red tape around everything. Not the place for entrepreneurship... Salaries are OK, nothing special, around average. Many people are being promoted just cause they have been there for ages, not cause they are good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is lots of talk on talent pool and such. Seems like it's a lot of talking on the matter, but not enough action...
