I worked at Habitat for Humanity full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

As you'd expect, it's a wonderful mission. And the people who work there usually have the same motivations: To help.

    Cons

Since it's a non-profit, the pay is less than industry standard, the work can be demanding at times. Must be willing to have the mission take precedence to counter the cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership is in the difficult position of balancing growth while increasing support and resources. It's a delicate ebb and flow and as such, there can sometimes be inconsistencies in direction.
