    Definitely the people, creativity, purpose

    Cons

    While Hallmark is doing some innovative break through concepts, there are areas that move way too slowly and conservatively.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get fresh blood in executive and senior levels of management. Seriously consider how senior execs are incented to maintain current beliefs and values for their position--inhibits breakthrough thinking. "It's hard to make a man understand something when his livelihood depends on him not understanding it." -- Upton Sinclair quote. For example, Retail execs are incented to reinforce old ways of doing retail in a time of obvious tumultuous change in the Retail industry.

    I have been working at Hallmark

    Pros

    it's actually an enjoyable job(I love my job), I'm proud to represent Hallmark product, ... most of all, the flexibility fits my family life. Flexibility is what keeps me here.

    Cons

    Too few hours given for the amount of work expected to be done-->stress. Lack of appreciation. Unavailable supervisors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    TA's need to spend less time doing insulations for other TA's and spend more time in their employee's stores and they need to divide that time equally among their employees...not just with their favorites.
